Speech: Conspiracy Interview Project
Teaching Level:
High School
When I get to the Logical Fallacies and Propaganda Unit in Speech class, we examine various kinds of propanda and arguments that are used to support certain types of propaganda. After we have studied fallacies and propanda for a few days to a week (depends on the class), we begin this project.
Day 1: For this part of the project, a student and their partner draw a conspiracy from a collection of conspiracies that teacher provides. The students are then to spend the rest of the period researching different theories and conspiracies related to their topic and type a summary of their research as well as identify and explain the logical fallacies that are being used in the arguments for each theory.
