I loved this Illuminated text

I loved this Illuminated text because as the words were telling the story and explaining the text, the music was setting the mood. During the 4 minute 22 second video I began to feel for the characters because it is something ending and you just feel it. The illuminated text moved me in the mood or direction of the poem. The author of the illuminated text really pushes the words "end" and "gone" as the words would disappear from the screen and the music would get deep and more emotional. It leaves you with a sense of emptiness especially with the picture of the factory that looks bombed and useless. It doesn't let the pictures take power over the text of this amazing author, that filled me with joy.

This illuminated text's music

This illuminated text's music definitely set the mood. It was a really good choice. What else I found really interesting was the way that quotes in a dialogue appeared on the screen. It was almost like you could hear them talking, which order it would be in and how they would be saying it.

The best thing about this

The best thing about this text was definatelt the music. It set an incrediblely accurate mood of the story which is mellow and just a little melancholy, so a very good choice of music. The other good thing with this text was the animations with the words Nick and Marjorie. With both the movement of the words like their characters would move plus the teext above it really gave me a vividly detailed picture of the scene. Overall this was a very well done text, the only thing is maybe they could have added a few more animations to the text, but it was still very good.

Nice

I enjoyed this illuminated text. The music was very emotional, it set a good backdrop for the events, which seemed sad. I really liked how different words were highlighted, words like nothing, everything, ruined. I thought it was cool how the names of Nick and Marjorie stood up like people, and when Marjorie moved close to Nick on the boat when she asked him if he was alright. I could see it actually happening.

Illum. Text

I really liked this illuminated text- the music, along with the dialogue used, really helped set the tone of the flash video, and of the story. The story is about a failing relationship, and the mill is important because of the allusion it makes to the also failing ('failed') town, Hudson Bay. The imagery, as well as the use of words as objects made the scenes very easy to understand. The movement and fading out of only certain words at times helped to emphasize main events or important emotions.

Comment on the End of Something

I really like the contrast in this Illuminated Text.  It starts off from a series of black and white pictures and mostly black text.  However, as the Illuminated Text progresses, it shifts to animation filled with color drawn by the people who made the Illuminated Text.  Furthermore, it seems that the color is only present when Nick and Majorie are together.  Soon after, it reverts back to its original simplicity.

Your Illuminated Text

This is a very interesting Illuminated Text. I liked how you used both the words of the book and your animations to make your point. How do you make the words ripple and fade and do any of those other funny things. I have no clue how to do that. Is it hard? Again, very good Illuminated Text. Bye!

"The End of Something" Illuminated Text Comment

This illuminated text does a wonderful job of expressing the worry and the sadness of a deserted town. The creator of the illuminated text used dialogue in the flash video as well as pictures and words to represent the characters' thoughts, worries, and concerns. The dialogue used is very simple, but it is sentimentally powerful. The dialogue correlates with the pictures in the illuminated text. The picture of the mill in the beginning of the illuminated text immediately sets a sad mood and when the dialogue begins, viewers are aware of the problems that the characters are facing. The uncertainty and arguing between the characters keeps the illuminated text realistic and emotionally powerful. The creator of this illuminated text has done a great job on representing the sentimental value of "The End of Something".
