One of Thomas Hardy's finest

One of Thomas Hardy's finest pieces for sure and one of my favorite quotes in the entire novel. Even though Angel Clare quickly changes everything that this quote symbolizes, it envelopes Tess Durbeyfield perfectly, as well as all humanity.
