Your Declaration of Independence

When teaching American Literature students about the Declaration of Independence in a Rationalism or Age of Reason unit, this lesson helps students to discover the four parts of the Declaration and to discover the intent of the writers in a constructivist manner. Group work is involved as well as writing for a specific audience, using correct and varying sentence structure, and using correct grammer.
