Poetry Portfolio Unit Plan

This is a poetry portfolio for 7th or 8th grade students. Each child is to make his or her own portfolio and share it with the class. The packet is self-explanatory and has a ruberic that the student uses to make sure he or she has covered all areas. I have used this while we cover the poetry unit in English. Some of the students have made PowerPoints instead of books. It is amazing how tech-savvy these students are at this age. We celebrate at the end with a poetry party (hot chocolate and cookies) and each student presents his or her poetry.
